ADDRESSES, PERSPECTIVES AND FUTURE PRE-POSITIONS
Three written essays accompany the audio-essays, and the audio-essays can stand alone or functions as variations, and openings or elaborations of the written texts. Or maybe it’s the other way around? That the written texts functions as variations, elaborations, or openings of the audio-essays.
The form of the audio-essays are inspired by Georg Batesons metalogues – and in these reflective works, Næss reflects upon the re-theatralization of the play, on the hybrid form in contemporary playwriting, on the distinction between the private and the public, and the central role of language as generic force in the dramatic text. The presentation is a part of Næss’ work as PhD fellow in playwriting. The heading for her project is 1:100 – the hybrid performative text as a feedback-loop.
